Hungary’s Vér have begun their journey how all underground bands should; with their first demo tape, courtesy of Me Saco Un Ojo Records.
Fetid guitars lurch forth from the crypts, instantly gripping you with the tendrils of barbaric and grotesque Death Metal. The percussive torment and rhythmic grooves are addictive and yet the daunting atmosphere renders this demo as creepy as it is catchy. Only a cacophony of vomitous vocals can break the mould of impenetrable instruments and we hear a promising example here. If your quest is one for brutality and mid-tempo Death Metal full of hooks, Vér will instantly impress you with their already very well-formed soundscapes of sepulchral filth.
Not many bands come out of the gates with their first demo sounding so well-thought-out but these Hungarian horror-lovers have clearly put in the leg work. Be a part of their first steps in conquering the underground with sonic lacerations sharper than most first demos can claim to be. Taking some punky touches into the formula of mixed tempo extremity, there is plenty of energy to keep your rotten skull banging until the end of this burst of barbarism.
